Note: When using an automatic car wash, make sure to switch auto hold off, or shift to neutral (N) with the brake pedal applied to ensure auto hold is not active.
The Auto Hold is designed to maintain the vehicle in a standstill even though the brake pedal is not pressed after the driver brings the vehicle to a complete stop by pressing the brake pedal .

Once activated by pushing the BRAKE HOLD button, automatic brake hold maintains braking pressure when the driver brakes to a stop , such as in stop-and-go traffic, and releases the brakes when the driver applies the accelerator.
